Enjoy a walk along the old-town streets of Gettysburg as you visit our historic churches. Ninety-minute tours are provided every Wednesday evening during the summer months; the first at 6 pm, the second at 6:30 pm. Each volunteer-guided tour will include visits to four churches. Go inside the churches to admire their beautiful features while short programs are presented about heroic sacrifices made by citizens and conditions in town during and after the fighting. Free parking is offered in the lot behind the Presbyterian Church; tours assemble in front of the church. Arrive fifteen minutes early for tickets (no reservation required). The 2012 tour season begins on Wednesday, June 13 and continues every Wednesday throughout the summer with the last tour being conducted on August 29. The June 13 tour highlights the following Gettysburg churches: Prince of Peace Episcopal, St. Francis Roman Catholic, St. Paul's AME and Christ Lutheran. After the Festival, the June 20 tour will visit Gettysburg Presbyterian, Trinity UCC, Gettysburg Methodist and St. James Lutheran.
